John retired from the National Security Agency in 1994 after 32 years of Federal Service. He obtained his real estate license in Maryland in March 1994 and in North Carolina in November 1994. After completing the necessary educational and experience requirements, he obtained his North Carolina Broker license November 1996. He was a Director of the Pinehurst-Southern Pines Area Association of Realtors from 1997 to 2000 and is certified as an Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) and Seniors Real Estate Specialist (SRES).
